Mr. Lyttelton's Circular Despatch of the 29th. November,

1905, transmitting the suggestion of Garter Sir Alfred

Scott-Gatty that this Colony should make formal applica-

-tion for a Coat of Arms.

Before further considering this

suggestion I should be obliged if I could be informed as

to which of the Crown Colonies have already Coats of Arms,

of what they consist and when and in what circumstances

they were granted by the Sovereign.
